Capstone Honor Roll
1- Dr. Harold Olmstead: The senior advisor of the capstone program and Real World Open University and the former VP of CIT. Harold is the champion of all champions at all times with unlimited support, help and inspiration. Harold's endless dedication and commitment are unprecedented not to mention that he co-founded many of our activities and programs.
2- Judith Sheft: NJIT true champion who opened endless windows of opportunities and partnerships for the capstone program since the very beginning. Judith is one-of-a –kind university and community leader and her dedication and support to our program are beyond any imagination.
3- Dr. Bruce Bukiet (Associate Dean of CSLA): Our amazing university partner who never missed a capstone activity and has always provided exceptional help, projects opportunities and resources to support our university-wide and high school programs alike.
4- Dr. Lisa Simone (BME pioneering professor): Our great supporter and partner who gave a true example of cross-university collaboration from Open University partnership to summer internship programs for high school students.
5- Marilyn Mahon: Our senior industry advisor who has built the most advanced university-industry partnership program with a company ever (i.e.: IMS health). Her generous support and personal engagement leveraged the relationship with her organization from one team mentorship to many years of success stories – including the IMS PA headquarters.
6- Tom Gregorio: The passionate CIO at St. Barnabas Health System who took university- industry partnership in the health territories to a whole new level and raised the bar so high in how industry resources can be effectively deployed for the benefit of our students’ education at the university and high school levels alike.
7- Tim Scheld: The true champion (and director) at CBS news network who translated a summer educational experience into a long-term partnership with our program and supported our students education in very genuine ways.
8- Andrea Normandia: Our top high school industry partner, advisor, sponsor, supporter and director of the TAP program at J&J. Andrea's devotion and commitment to our high school programs is extraordinary. Her impressive partnership and consistent support helped in taking our high school programs to a whole new level of success and achievements.
9- Dr. Deborah Kuzma: Our top high school partner and advisor who facilitated the creation our first NJ high school satellite program in Mount Olive Township. Her dedication and support are just out of this world. Dr. Kuzma is the VP at Mount Olive High School.
10- Dr. Cesar Bandera: Our senior industry advisor and NJ Entrepreneur of the Year. Unlike traditional partners, Cesar touched our students' lives in an incredible fashion. His extraordinary dedication and creative approach have made him a role model for industry-university partnership. Through him our high school students have a display at Liberty Science Center.
11- Dr. Dick Olsen: Our senior industry advisor who exceeded all expectations in sponsor’s partnership, commitment and dedication. Dr. Olsen’s great impact on our students’ education – especially our high school programs- has made him a true strategic partner.
12- Jerry Creighton: Our univerity-industry strategic partner. For his extraordinary support and for facilitating the greatest partnership with the Enterprise Development Center for more than 6 years
13- Dr. John Sunderland: Our capstone key advisor who is a great source of wisdom and support. John is a strategic leader with great vision and unmatched real world and academic experience. He put endless hours in support of our program and helped us tremendously map our instructional design and business processes models.
14- Sean De Asis: Our senior alumni advisor and former president of the students' senate at NJIT. Sean exemplifies all the great things in a human being: an outstanding student, a great leader, a creative entrepreneur, and incredibly dedicated alumni. Sean's leadership has created an international company that has come back to be a capstone sponsor.
15- Kathy Spittle: Our senior alumni advisor and former CEO of the capstone program. Kathy represents women leadership in the capstone program, NJIT and NJ at its best. If there is an award for the "US women leader of the year", I wouldn't think of anyone who deserves it more than Kathy Spittle for her remarkable role in translating our capstone vision into execution.
16- Ketul Patel: Our senior alumni advisor, Johnson and Johnson relationship manager and former capstone project manager. Ketul's genuine role in our program and it's evolution contributed significantly to many of our success stories - not to mention his remarkable partnership with our PM & leadership factory program and high school programs.
17- Eli Khouri: Our senior alumni advisor, sponsor, entrepreneurship program coordinator and international partnerships advisor. Eli's exceptional role in our programs has help the growth of our program tremendously –with numerous entrepreneurship teams benefiting from his wisdom and successful business experience.
18- Timothy Hart: Our key univerity partner. Timothy is a great champion in our success story without a doubt. He spared no time in helping us endlessly and because of him we were able to add significant sponsorships to our capstone program. .
